Espace Contact is a unique art off-space nestled in the heart of Neuchâtel, Switzerland. Housed within the repurposed telephone booths of the Place Pury kiosk, it offers an intimate setting amidst the bustle of the city center. Formerly a haven for private conversations, Espace Contact now serves as an open showcase—accessible to all, free of charge, at any time.

The space preserves the booth’s original function as a platform for communication, exchange, and expression—this time through art. Each artist exhibiting at Espace Contact is invited to create a sound piece, activated via the gallery’s permanent answering machine.

Founded in 2023 and operated by CONTACT Association, Espace Contact is inspired by an original concept from Ahmad Motalaei.
